About
Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized testing methods and thorough observational practices. Create tailored treatment approaches to meet both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functionalities. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to enhance comprehensive care strategies. Provide education to patients and their families to foster ongoing progress outside the therapy room. Participate in intermittent inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatment plans, ensuring seamless care continuity. Document evaluations and treatment outcomes accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with organizational and state regulations. Engage in continuing education and networking opportunities to stay informed on the latest advancements in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet obtained ASHA certification. Certifications
State licensure as a Certified Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
