Job Title: MRI Technician Location: Ambulatory Care Center Department Name: MRI Req #: 0000246264 Status: Hourly Shift: Day Pay Range: $52.48 - $62.27per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Performs MRI procedures at a technical level without requiring constant supervision, Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care Qualifications: Required: Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology Preferred: 1 year experience Certifications and Licenses Required: ARRT required with CEU compliance American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) accepted in conjunction with ARRT American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification Scheduling Requirements: Full Time Midshift Schedule
Tuesday to Friday: 1:00pm – 9:00 pm Saturday: 7:00am – 3:00 pm
Essential Functions: Analyzes patient physical condition, age and suspected pathology for proper technique Assists Radiologist in performing certain radiographic procedures Correctly marks images with time and body position Ensures patient comfort, physical and mental well being during the examination Ensures that room is properly stocked with all needed supplies prior to the beginning of the procedure Explains procedures, keeps patient informed of progress and assists patients in transferring on to/off examination table for procedures Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
