Hill Industrial Tools is looking for an Outside Sales Representative who can connect with machinists, manufacturing leaders, and shop owners by speaking their language, earning trust, and helping solve real production problems.
This role is for someone who has some tooling, machining, or manufacturing knowledge and wants to turn that foundation into a high-growth career in outside sales.
If you’re ambitious, relationship-driven, empathetic, and energized by being out in the field, this is your chance to build a territory, grow your income, and become a true problem-solver for your customers.

At Hill Industrial Tools, we help machine shops, manufacturers, and maintenance teams improve performance through cutting tools, blades, abrasives, PPE, and shop solutions that help them cut faster, last longer, reduce waste, and keep production moving.
What you’ll do
Build and grow relationships with machine shops, plants, and industrial customers across your territory
Prospect new business while developing existing accounts
Spend time in the field learning customer processes, identifying pain points, and recommending solutions
Work with everyone from machinists and programmers to buyers, supervisors, and owners
Coordinate quotes, orders, and follow‑up with our internal team
Stay organized in CRM and manage your pipeline with discipline
Show up consistently, communicate clearly, and become the kind of rep customers want to call first
Who we’re looking for You might be a great fit if you:
Have some machining, tooling, metalworking, MRO, or industrial experience
Are naturally good with people and know how to build trust without forcing it
Are hungry, coachable, and motivated by growth
Have empathy and know how to listen before trying to sell
Can walk into a shop with confidence, curiosity, and respect

Like solving problems, not just pushing products
What helps you stand out Preferred experience includes:
Machining or shop‑floor experience
Industrial distribution or outside sales exposure
Familiarity with cutting tools, saw blades, abrasives, PPE, or shop consumables
CRM experience
A track record of strong communication and follow‑through
Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Ability to travel throughout your assigned territory
Strong communication skills
Reliable follow‑up and personal accountability
