Über

AFRL plans and executes USAF programs in basic research, exploratory development, and advanced development. Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) provides organizational support to AFRL at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base, OH, ensuring effective Information Management and the timely deployment of Information Systems to support the Department of War mission. This role serves as a mid‑level System Analyst on a collaborative administration team, primarily supporting modern Windows environments while also supporting Linux systems and building enterprise IT skills for national security research initiatives.
Responsibilities
Administers, maintains, and troubleshoots modern Windows and Linux endpoints and servers.
Executes patch management, software deployments, and system updates using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager under guidance of senior administrators.
Implements and validates standard STIGs and security configurations on Windows and Linux systems to maintain DoW compliance.
Manages daily user account administration, access controls, and Group Policy configurations within Active Directory.
Resolves mid‑to‑complex OS and infrastructure issues, escalating architectural matters to senior engineering staff.
Maintains technical documentation, administrative procedures, system inventories, and operational logs.
Requirements
3+ years of hands‑on experience in a systems administration or IT operations role.
Active DoW 8570.01‑M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or IAT Level I certification with the ability to obtain Level II.
Active Secret security clearance (or higher).
Demonstrated experience independently administering and troubleshooting Windows Server (2019/2022) and Windows 11 workstation operating systems.
Proficiency in managing Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, and DHCP in an enterprise environment.
Ability to navigate, manage, and perform administrative tasks within a Linux environment such as RHEL 10.
Experience implementing and validating STIGs to maintain system compliance.
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to write and utilize scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash for system automation.
Hands‑on administration of vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation tools such as ACAS and Nessus.
Experience administering and maintaining virtualized infrastructure such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V.
Familiarity with IT Service Management ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira for tracking and resolving technical issues.
