Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Our agile, reliable, and innovative team puts people first, values teamwork, and acts with integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Support order at the location by following post orders, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and coordinating with site contacts and/or public sector personnel during routine and urgent events.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
