Join Allied Universal at a dynamic government location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. - Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, managing access control points, and supporting security-related protocols at a government location.
- Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and/or delivery access permissions before allowing entry to restricted and/or controlled areas.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and access control systems, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual, suspicious, and/or unauthorized activity to the appropriate contact.
- Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including support for emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for conditions that could impact operations and/or security-related procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Guard card is required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
