Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU/NICU experience, including Level IV NICU and high-frequency ventilator skills, for a 13-week night shift travel contract. Details
Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting at an academic medical center Patients include critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac anomalies and complex respiratory needs Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required in this unit Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15 Schedule is published in 6-week blocks 6 weekend shifts required per schedule block No on-call requirement Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate 13-week contract
Requirements
Current NC RRT license or Compact RRT license in hand at time of consideration — license required if applicable Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS — all must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED Level IV NICU experience required Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies required Level 1 trauma experience required 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Flu vaccine required seasonally (October 31 – March 31); no exemptions accepted
