Description of Responsibilities
Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts assessments Prioritize patient comfort and safety, ensuring clear and empathetic communication throughout the imaging process Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to produce top-quality diagnostic images Utilize and maintain imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues Document procedures accurately and manage patient records within the electronic medical system Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in ultrasound practices and evolving best techniques Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related area Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program Certifications Required
Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent organization BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is desirable Skills Needed
Proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques coupled with strong patient positioning abilities Excellent communication skills and a genuine interpersonal approach Ability to thrive and operate effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Comfortable in quick-paced environments while focusing on patient-centered care Benefits Overview
