In this position, you will join a team of 7 experienced developers situated in Ballerup Denmark and are now adding to the team in Augsburg Germany. This position is in AMBU Augsburg. Your closest GPU, CUDA developer will be a colleague in Ballerup. We value team orientation over individual performance. That said, individual performance and development are important and supported.

We are looking for an experienced GPU developer and will be part of our SW application team, which is responsible for the application layer, GUI and Image Pipeline on our Display Units. Display Units are Linux based and a common platform supporting all endoscopes from Ambu.

We work in a cross-functional scrum team, with focus on adding value for patients and healthcare professionals and continuous improvement of our way of working. We use state of the art tooling like Git and Docker and prioritize keeping our tech stack up to date, with modern C++ versions (17 and up to current 23 version). Our software is built in a CI system, and we continuously work on improving coverage of our automated tests made in Squish.

We are expanding our team because we will start working on our next generation Display Unit. It's based on latest Nvidia technology, so knowledge and interest in Nvidia hardware and CUDA is required for the role. The role will be mainly coding around the pipeline/video stream infrastructure

You will be part of a global team, reporting to the Application Software manager in Ballerup, Denmark. This position will be based in our innovation hub in Augsburg.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Coding, mainly C++ and CUDA but also some Python
  • Working with the pipeline/video stream infrastructure
  • Participate in Scrum events.

  • Relevant education and preferably 5+ years of work experience
  • Great communications skills in English for engaging with stakeholders and collaboration teams
  • Nvidia CUDA and Gstreamer
  • Linux
  • Object oriented software development in C++ 17 or higher
  • Agile Scrum with Jira and Confluence as tools
  • Working with remote teams
