Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced professionals to help build the world’s premier cloud computing platform. We are looking for Manufacturing Engineers who are capable of operating in a fast paced, ever changing, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment. Our Manufacturing Engineers work closely with our ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and with upstream component vendors to monitor and improve the incoming hardware quality of AWS products both proactively in the design phase as well as monitoring, reporting and investigating any early-life product failures. This role requires the engineer to be a technical contact and take on full ownership of the manufacturing launch and resolution of process issues. You will be the driver in getting production up and running, understanding root cause of hardware failures and resolving gaps in our suppliers manufacturing processes.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Key job responsibilities Lead and oversee quality control processes across Contract Manufacturers (CM), Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and vendors
Deliver hands-on technical support during new product introductions and launches
Evaluate and optimize product designs for quality assurance and manufacturing efficiency of servers and rack systems
Investigate and resolve customer escalations through comprehensive root cause analysis
Support global operations through regular domestic and international travel (25-50% of time)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience - Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or similar related field or equivalent experience. - 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or on high-tech hardware - 5+ years of product development experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Experience with the project management of technical projects

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
