As a UX Designer at Portland Webworks, you can expect to:
Design user-centered wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and personas
Lead discovery sessions and requirements gathering with clients. Translate user needs into intuitive designs
Conduct user research and usability tests to inform design decisions
Present designs and collect feedback from stakeholders and internal teams, advocating for user-centered solutions
Produce site maps and navigable information architecture
Hand off designs with detailed documentation to developers
Partner closely with a team of highly skilled software developers, project managers, graphic designers, and quality assurance professionals throughout the entire project life cycle
Manage multiple client projects and timelines at once
Conduct site audits and content review
As a UX Designer at Portland Webworks, you will bring:
3-5 years of UX design experience
Highly proficient in Figma creating wireframes and managing large design files
Exceptional presentation and communication skills. Be a proactive participant in meetings
Willingness to accept feedback to iterate and improve on designs
Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Experience working at an agency a plus
Experience working in the public sector a plus
Applicants in Maine will be prioritized, but we are open to remote candidates.
