Working remotely, the full-time Backend Platform Engineer will design and implement a robust integration layer for enterprise data systems, develop REST APIs, and create event-driven microservices to support survey automation and data processing. Key Responsibilities
Build an integration layer to ingest and route structured data from enterprise sources Design and implement REST APIs for frontend and third-party client consumption Develop an event-driven microservices architecture utilizing GCP Pub/Sub and Kafka
Required Qualifications
Proficient in Java and the Spring ecosystem, with a deep understanding of concurrency and memory management Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and understand data modeling Experience in API design, including versioning and error handling best practices Familiarity with distributed systems and considerations for failure handling Experience building systems that handle real load and maintain reliability under constraints
