Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic tests, and designing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in agreement with physicians or independently (subject to credentialing) Offering education to patients and families on preventive care, wellness, and managing health conditions Prescribing medications and treatments according to your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management Partnering with interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, patient-centric care Keeping accurate and comprehensive documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Education Needed
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Credentials
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days) What Makes You Stand Out
