Essential Functions
Deploys and implements network system plans and designs that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
Conducts network architecture design, feasibility studies, and cost analyses.
Defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans.
Troubleshoots network issues and devises solutions, resources, and deployment processes.
Keeps updated on emerging networking technologies.
May hold vendor‑specific certifications.
Network Administration responsibilities may include:
Daily administration of network and server environments.
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of system software.
Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting, and deploying solutions.
Documenting network issues and events using standard formats.
Planning and implementing upgrades, patches, and new applications or equipment installation.
Using scripting and basic programs to automate processes.
Maintaining disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans.
Evaluating new tools or equipment and performing analysis/feasibility studies for performance optimization.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years’ experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Discipline: Information Technology or related discipline.
Skills and Abilities: Disaster Recovery Planning, Capacity Planning, Cloud Computing, Feasibility Study, Network Analysis, Network Engineering, Network Monitoring, Network Operations, Network Optimization, Technical Project Management, Network Troubleshooting, IT Network Software, Network Routers, Network Switches.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain seated at a desk or computer for extended periods.
Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety hazards.
Travel Requirements
Travel may be required to support network deployments, audits, or meetings.
Pay Range (USD) $81,209 – $109,871
