Leidos has new and exciting opportunities in our Intel Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). Our talented team is at the forefront in Mission Software, Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Offensive Cyber, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Cryptographic Key Management.
Leidos is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support cryptographic core product development. This role supports mission‑critical national security programs and requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph.
You will be part of a high‑performing team delivering secure, cutting‑edge solutions across Security Engineering, Mission Software, SIGINT, CNO, and Cryptographic Key Management.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, debug, and document embedded software for custom electronic systems.
Support hardware and FPGA design, integration, and testing of cryptographic products.
Develop and execute software and system‑level test plans and integration activities.
Analyze system requirements and allocate functionality across hardware and software.
Support system certification, information assurance documentation, and configuration control.
Evaluate testing and integration risks and ensure requirements satisfaction.
Develop and maintain test systems, tools, and processes aligned with enterprise standards.
Provide integration support for new systems and baseline deployments.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (additional experience may substitute) and 12 years of overall experience.
6+ years of embedded software development and test/integration experience.
Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python .
Active TS/SCI with polygraph .
Preferred Qualifications
High‑speed encryption experience.
Knowledge of Rust .
Experience with GitLab , Bash , and/or Tcl/Tk .
Familiarity with IASRD and secure system certification processes.
