The Senior Data and Solutions Engineer will support SitelogIQ’s transition from fragmented reporting to a structured and scalable data and analytics environment. This hands‑on role is responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, developing governed datasets, and delivering high‑quality reporting and insights.
Working closely with the Director of Business Systems, this role contributes to the implementation of a modern data platform and partners with business stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and access to actionable insights. The salary range is $100,000–$130,000 , varying within the range based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to seamlessly integrate core enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, and project management platforms.
Drive the creation and enhancement of a centralized analytical data layer (lake/lakehouse) to support scalable reporting and advanced analytics.
Leverage Azure tools for efficient data ingestion, orchestration, and pipeline automation, including monitoring and optimizing performance for reliability and scalability.
Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in data pipelines to ensure high data availability and quality across all business units.
Data Modeling & Analytics
Implement and maintain enterprise data models and semantic layers using best practices for OLTP and OLAP architectures (star/snowflake modeling).
Develop and optimize Power BI datasets and dashboards to deliver actionable insights and facilitate self‑service analytics for stakeholders.
Champion the standardization of KPIs and reporting frameworks to ensure consistency and reliability across the organization.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable and flexible data solutions that empower decision‑making.
Reporting & BI Governance
Consolidate fragmented reporting into governed datasets, ensuring data integrity and compliance with enterprise standards.
Lead Power BI governance, workspace management, and implementation of best practices for security and access controls.
Enable and support self‑service reporting for business users through robust governance and training, ensuring responsible data usage.
Data Quality & Governance Support
Establish and enforce data validation, quality checks, and data governance policies to maintain high data standards.
Document comprehensive data definitions, lineage, and metadata to enhance transparency and traceability throughout the data lifecycle.
Maintain and promote consistent data standards, naming conventions, and best practices across all projects and systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Engage proactively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand reporting needs, and deliver tailored data solutions.
Drive adoption and continuous improvement of standardized analytics and reporting, providing guidance and support for business users.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or enterprise data architecture roles; demonstrable leadership of cross‑system programs.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dataverse and Microsoft Power Platform; proven experience designing and deploying analytical data layers using Azure data services (Synapse, Data Lake Storage, Fabric or equivalent).
Strong understanding of both OLTP and OLAP architectures, data modeling (star/snowflake), and best practices for handling structured and unstructured data.
Experience implementing data governance, metadata/catalog solutions, and data lineage.
Familiarity integrating ERP (Acumatica), project systems (Procore), CRM (Pipedrive), HRIS (UKG), or equivalent enterprise systems preferred.
Experience with modern ETL/ELT tooling, data orchestration (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse pipelines, or equivalents), and pipeline monitoring.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills—able to partner with executives and technically lead engineering teams.
