*Role Purpose*
We are looking for a hands-on Data & Analytics Lead to support the development and delivery of analytics and data engineering solutions within a telecommunications environment.
This role is suited to an experienced technical specialist who is comfortable working independently, building practical solutions, and supporting analytics delivery across operational and customer-focused use cases.
The successful candidate will have strong experience with cloud analytics platforms, Python development, SQL, and large-scale data processing, with a proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of delivery.
*Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineering & Analytics*
- Build and maintain analytics datasets, pipelines, and reporting solutions.
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT processes using cloud-native technologies.
- Support analysis of large datasets to generate operational and business insight.
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
- Develop automated reporting and monitoring solutions.
*GCP Platform Development*
- Work within the Google Cloud ecosystem, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, and Dataflow.
- Support optimisation and maintenance of cloud-based analytics environments.
- Contribute to scalable and efficient data architecture design.
*Cost & Performance Optimisation*
- Help optimise BigQuery queries and cloud platform costs.
- Improve performance of data pipelines and analytics processes.
- Support implementation of efficient data processing approaches for large datasets.
*Solution Delivery*
- Translate business requirements into practical analytics solutions.
- Support rapid prototyping and development of analytics MVPs.
- Work closely with stakeholders across operational and technical teams.
- Produce clear documentation and maintain reusable code frameworks.
*Telecommunications Analytics*
- Support analytics use cases related to telecom networks, customer experience, and operational performance.
- Work with network KPIs, usage data, service quality metrics, and customer datasets.
- Assist in identifying trends, issues, and improvement opportunities from large-scale telecom data.
*Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills*
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, BigQuery, and cloud-based analytics and data engineering.
- Good understanding of data pipelines, data modelling, query optimisation, and data transformation frameworks.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker.
- Experience handling large datasets and automated workflows.
*Experience*
- Experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering roles.
- Experience building solutions independently with limited supervision.
- Experience working in cloud analytics environments.
- Telecommunications or network analytics experience preferred.

Job Types: Zero hours contract, Permanent, Full-time
Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
