Pharmacist Position at Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services, and pharmacy services. ICCHC is currently seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist for our new Surrey Street CHC location opening in the Fall 2026. The Pharmacist is a member of the senior management team. The Pharmacists are responsible for dispensing prescription drugs to patients. They provide information about those drugs and help patients understand the instructions their doctors or other health practitioners provided. They monitor their patients' health and progress to make sure their medications are working effectively and safely. Principal duties and responsibilities include:
Dispensing prescription drugs to patients accurately and efficiently Ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions given to patients and information given to management Providing information and education to patients concerning their prescription medications Mastering Parata Automation and all software utilized by Rx Staff Ensuring the accuracy and oversight of all medications entering and leaving the Rx Department Maintaining a clean and orderly department Enforcing the policies within the Pharmacy department including no food or eating in the work area, no unauthorized visitors, etc... Staying abreast of all laws governing the safe and effective operations of the pharmacy department Conducting inventories of prescription medications as necessary to ensure accurate counts for internal/external audits Notifying the CEO of all inquiries, audits, or compliance issues concerning the Pharmacy department in a timely manner Corresponding and communicating effectively with providers concerning proper utilization of prescription medications Maintaining all required licenses and certifications in a timely manner Performing other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director and CEO
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Louisiana 3-5 years of experience preferred
