Responsibilities
Screen, assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Track and document student progress on IEP goals and communication Conduct triennial evaluations and prepare reports within required timelines Participate in PPT meetings and collaborate with primary teams Partner with families and caregivers to support carryover of skills Communicate effectively with staff using culturally responsive practices Utilize Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) strategies and de-escalation techniques Complete Medicaid documentation and service hour logs May supervise college students for clinical field experience or a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) as requested by administration.
Requirements
Master's degree in speech and language pathology Connecticut Department of Public Health SLP licensure (or pending) ASHA certification (or Clinical Fellowship Year in progress) CT State Department of Education 061 certification (or pending) CPR certification (required within 90 days of hire; training provided by Solterra Academy) Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by Solterra Academy) Experience working with students with emotional or behavioral disabilities preferred
