About
Reliable transportation and willingness to move between multiple clinical sites 3-5 years of hospital based diagnostic radiology experience as a registered technologist with ARRT Colorado resident Current BLS Acceptance to ARRT approved Registered Radiologist Assistant Master's program Reliable and professional technologist Strong clinical background Commit to 4 clinical days a week (including school breaks during holidays) Exception for approved personal time off and class
Primary Responsibilities:
Take a leading role in patient management and assessment:
Verifies order for appropriateness Obtains consent Acts as liaison between radiologist and ordering provider Practices ALARA and advocates for patient safety Organizes daily patient schedule (with multiple sites when necessary)
Performs hospital fluoroscopy examinations and procedures under the supervision of a radiologist Maintains sterile technique during invasive procedures Demonstrates critical thinking skills i.e.: emergency situations, critical patients Knowledge of extensive protocol (adult and pediatric) Follows medication guidelines and protocols Assess and evaluate the physiologic and psychological responsiveness of each patient Responsible for evaluating image quality, making initial image observations, and communicating those observations to the supervising radiologist
