DC Power Engineer - Ireland Location: Ireland based (80-90% Dublin, 10-20% wider Ireland travel) Schedule: Full time, field based role Who are we? About the Role Vertiv is hiring a DC Power Engineer to join our Ireland Field Service team. This is a hands on, field based role where you'll carry out planned maintenance, installations, and commissioning of 48v DC Power systems across customers in the Dublin area and beyond. This is a great entry point into the world of critical power. You don't need years of experience or a wall full of qualifications. What matters most is your attitude, your willingness to learn, and your ability to work well with others. We'll provide all the training you need, including time in the UK with our experienced DC team. It's a physical role. You'll be lifting battery blocks, working in live environments, and spending most of your time out on customer sites rather than behind a desk. What You'll Be Doing Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on Vertiv/Emerson 48v DC Power systems across multiple customers. Assisting with and eventually leading new 48v DC installations and commissioning. Once trained on 380v HVDC systems, carrying out maintenance and support across multiple customer premises. Assisting with battery builds, replacements, and testing. Resolving technical issues remotely or on site. Completing all post work paperwork and documentation. Supporting mobile data centre maintenance and callouts when required. What We're Looking For A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn Team player who gets on well with people Self motivated and capable of working independently once trained Excellent organisational and time management skills Comfortable with a physical, hands on role Full driving licence Any electrical knowledge or background is a bonus, but not essential Previous experience with 48v DC or low power UPS is an advantage 18th Edition electrical qualification is desirable but not required Who You'll Work With You'll be part of the DC Power department, working closely with the battery team, the scheduling team, technical support, and directly with contracted customers.
