Company Cox Automotive - USA Job Details Job Family Group: Engineering / Product Development Management Level: Manager - Non People Leader Flexible Work Option: Hybrid - Ability to work remotely part of the week Travel %: No Job Description Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC is seeking a professional to design simple and scalable solutions to complex problems and deliver leading‑edge software products. Serve as a technical leader in a collaborative team environment and contribute to the engineering efforts of data scrum teams. Key Responsibilities Engineer right‑sized solutions for complex business problems focused on building patterns to support data pipelines, data warehousing, and data transformations. Apply knowledge of modern software design, best practices, design patterns, and frameworks. Perform data analytics, database design, and development. Influence technical solutions while coaching newer or junior members on the Scrum team. Construct and manage services which extract, transform, and load data into data warehouses. Collaborate on best practices, code reviews, internal tools, and process improvements. Develop high‑performing, scalable, and secure solutions. Investigate, evaluate, and present new emerging technologies. Translate business requirements and data mappings into data integrations and ingestion code solutions. Work closely with product managers and engineers to design, implement, test, and improve scalable data solutions using DBT & Snowflake cloud platforms. Ensure root cause resolution to identified problems and monitor Data Solutions jobs to meet daily SLAs. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in data engineering. 6 years of experience in: Building and deploying large‑scale data processing pipelines. Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing ETL processes. Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines. Programming and scripting in SQL, PL/SQL, and Python. Automating using Python. Performing ETL and data warehousing using Informatica PowerCenter, Exadata, and on‑premise solutions.
Alternative education/experience: Master's degree and 4 years of experience, or Ph.D. and 1 year of experience. 1 year of experience in: Warehousing cloud data in Snowflake. Data transformation and modeling in dbt (Data Build Tool) and schema design (including star schema). Developing data pipelines using dBT Labs and ELT tools.
Must live within commuting distance of the Atlanta, GA office. Compensation and Benefits Base Salary: $160,056 - $183,326 (varies based on location, knowledge, skills, and abilities). Eligible for additional compensation, including incentive programs. Flexible vacation policy, seven paid holidays, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually.
