The Senior Data Engineer designs and builds scalable data pipelines and architectures that enable reliable analytics and reporting. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, well-modeled, secure, and production-ready data solutions. Responsibilities
– Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming data. – Design data models and implement best practices for warehousing and governance. – Ensure data quality, reliability, and pipeline observability. – Optimize data processing performance and storage costs. – Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers and offshore team. – Implement security, privacy, and compliance standards across platforms like Databricks, AWS and Snowflake. – Automate and improve SDLC workflows for data engineering teams. – Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines and workloads for performance. – Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or similar tools. – Implement or enhance alerting and monitoring for data pipelines and systems.
