Position Overview
Endurance IT Services is seeking an experienced
Network Security Engineer
to design, implement, and support enterprise network security environments that protect business-critical systems for a client on the peninsula. This role focuses on
network security architecture, threat prevention, firewall administration, secure connectivity, and infrastructure protection , working closely with networking, server, and cloud teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in both
hands-on technical work and strategic security improvement initiatives .
Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise
network security solutions
across on-premises and hybrid environments Manage and optimize
firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control technologies Administer and monitor
secure network connectivity
and perimeter defense systems Perform security upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of security infrastructure Monitor network security performance, availability, and threat activity Troubleshoot complex network security incidents and infrastructure issues across environments Implement and support security controls that align with business continuity and disaster recovery requirements Collaborate with server, cloud, and networking teams on infrastructure and security projects Document security configurations, procedures, policies, and network security architecture Support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-integrated security environments Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network security infrastructure Strong experience with
enterprise firewall platforms and network security technologies (VMware) Hands-on experience with
network segmentation, VPN technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems Solid understanding of
network security concepts , including access control, threat mitigation, encryption, and secure communications Familiarity with
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP Experience with security monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
