Job Details Overview We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support a large-scale technology deployment in a customer-facing environment. This individual will serve as a key technical resource responsible for system performance, operational support, troubleshooting, upgrades, and client engagement.
The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure and systems administration experience with excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset. This role requires someone who can independently manage priorities, solve complex technical issues, and work collaboratively across Operations, Software Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison for customers by responding to operational questions, incidents, and technical issues.
Support and maintain Network Video Recorder (NVR) and video management systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and communication issues.
Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and change control processes.
Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance across Linux, Windows, and commercial off-the-shelf applications.
Monitor and support containerized applications and infrastructure environments.
Collaborate with Software Engineering and QA teams to test, validate, and deploy new products and enhancements.
Deliver operational and technical training to end users and operations staff.
Assess system performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements and technology enhancements.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical systems during off‑hours.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience supporting enterprise systems, infrastructure, or application environments.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Experience supporting Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
Ability to independently manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and work with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Customer service-oriented mindset with proven client‑facing experience.
Experience working across cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) industry experience.
Experience supporting Network Video Recorder (NVR) platforms.
Familiarity with video streaming technologies and protocols, including:
RTSP
WebRTC
ONVIF
Experience supporting mission‑critical or 24x7 operational environments.
Exposure to software deployment, testing, and release management processes.
