About
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self‑motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead the
architecture, integration, and analytics
of money movement data (ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow) across multiple source systems into a unified, scalable data platform
Design, build, and maintain
data pipelines, models, and semantic layers
using Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric
Perform deep analysis of
payment transaction data
to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate findings into
actionable insights
for business and compliance partners
Apply
advanced analytics, statistical techniques, and machine learning
to develop predictive models, including use cases such as payment optimization and fraud detection
Provide
technical leadership
on data architecture, modeling standards, BI frameworks, and best practices for payments and money movement analytics
Partner closely with
payments, compliance, and technology teams
to prioritize analytics needs and deliver a holistic view of transaction data
Define and enforce
BI and data platform standards , ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance
Select and optimize
BI tools, features, and data loading processes
to support complex payment data models and analytics use cases
Measure outcomes of analytics‑driven recommendations, monitor performance, and continuously refine solutions
Support and influence
enterprise process improvement initiatives
related to payments and money movement
Establish benchmarks and incorporate
industry best practices
to drive innovation through predictive and advanced analytics
Provide guidance, consultation, and enablement to
business users and BI developers , including training and adoption support
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Six to eight years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience building and supporting data and analytics solutions using
Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric , and
SQL , with exposure to
BI and visualization tools
such as Power BI or Tableau
Strong knowledge of
financial services and payments , including
money movement data
(ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow), transaction formats, and end‑to‑end business processes
Hands‑on experience with
advanced analytics , including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and data visualization
Proficiency in
Python and SQL
(experience with R or SAS is a plus) for data extraction, analysis, and modeling
Ability to
analyze large, complex datasets , synthesize insights, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Solid understanding of
data architecture, application design, and delivery processes , including information management and security considerations
Strong
problem‑solving, decision‑making, and project execution
skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Effective
written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills , with experience partnering with senior business leaders and cross‑functional teams
Prior experience in
banking or financial services
strongly preferred
Background in
process improvement or Lean methodologies
is a plus
Location Expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
