About

Overview The Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) organization is seeking an exemplary Data Engineer to develop, own, and support pipelines that back business analytics, build orchestration tools, and produce automation scripts that optimize infrastructure. The role requires excellent communication, self‑motivation, flexibility, and a passion for innovation.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow a database infrastructure.
Develop automation solutions through programming languages.
Convert functional and business requirements into scalable, operational solutions.
Create data lineage from diverse data sources by analyzing source data systems.
Engage in all phases of the development life cycle: design, implementation, testing, delivery, documentation, support, and maintenance.
Design and implement proof‑of‑concept pilots leveraging generative AI technologies.
Develop reference architectures and technical guidelines for AI feature integration.
Build AI‑enabled knowledge management frameworks and tools.
Collaborate with teams across Amazon to share learnings and stay current with AI developments.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of data engineering experience.
1+ year of developing and operating large‑scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes.
Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices and full software development life cycle elements.
Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or Node.js).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
Experience with non‑relational databases or data stores (object storage, document or key‑value stores, graph databases, column‑family databases).
Benefits
Base salary range: $132,100.00 – $178,800.00 annually (USA, WA, Bellevue).
