The Senior DevOps Engineer role is based in Irvine, CA, with a 4‑day onsite and 1‑day remote work schedule.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver operational excellence for multiple software products and brands across the organization.
Automate and leverage DevOps principles, continuously improving CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
Maintain and scale high‑traffic web sites using mass‑scale architecture, emphasizing developer focus.
Use planning, sizing, and estimation techniques for small to medium‑sized tasks and projects.
Engineer and maintain infrastructure using CloudFormation, Terraform, or comparable platforms.
Manage, configure, and optimize AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
Support Kubernetes clusters and related tooling.
Apply foundational AI/ML concepts to enhance workflows, observability, and team efficiency.
Script using PowerShell or Bash to support development and operations processes.
Evaluate and select appropriate SQL and No‑SQL database solutions based on performance, cost, and fit.
Configure Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) for performance caching and global traffic management.
Assist management with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews; motivate team members and report performance metrics.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, in‑person, non‑profit university or college.
Five or more years of experience managing heavy web traffic sites with a developer focus.
Solid sizing and estimation experience for small to medium tasks and projects.
Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent.
Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes environments and supporting tooling.
Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical application.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash.
Conceptual understanding of SQL and No‑SQL databases.
Experience configuring CDNs for performance and traffic management.
Familiarity with large‑network infrastructure components in AWS and on‑prem environments (system/network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi‑datacenters).
Nice to Haves
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (APM, system vitals, synthetics, RUM).
Programming background in Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or server‑less architecture methodologies.
Knowledge of PCI compliance and remediation.
Mobile application support for iOS and Android.
REST API or microservices development experience.
Agile methodologies and experience working on short sprint cycles.
Benefits The position offers a base salary between $169,000 and $202,000, determined by skills and experience, along with performance‑based incentives and a generous benefits package, including:
