Workforce and CCMR Coordinator

The Workforce and CCMR Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and instructional fidelity of high quality, appropriate and engaging learning experiences through the implementation of innovative, hands-on instructional practices designed to help students attain their maximum potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The coordinator will work directly with administration, external agencies, teachers, as well as with students.

The Workforce and CCMR Coordinator will work directly under the supervision of the CTE Director to ensure continuous improvement through the implementation of instructional best practices. The Workforce and College Readiness will ensure that teachers provide fidelity in innovative instruction directly aligned to the internships, apprenticeships, and future jobs that will prepare DVISD students college and career readiness within community, business partnerships, and the Tesla partnership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements for subject assigned
  • Candidates must have a satisfactory outcome of a fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50) paid by employee.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years' teaching experience
  • Three (3) year's related leadership experience

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to evaluate instructional practices for alignment with the job descriptions of community businesses, including Tesla, and make recommendations to adjust instructional or programmatic design
  • Ability to provide instructional coaching to teachers and job coaching to students
  • Ability to evaluate fidelity of teacher instruction
  • Ability to evaluate and ensure fidelity of K-12 robotics instruction
  • Coach teachers to prepare students for career readiness
  • Broad-based knowledge of the district curriculum and district initiatives/programs which support and are aligned to the curriculum
  • Broad-based knowledge and training in research-based teaching and learning strategies
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate teaching and learning practices
  • Knowledge of all special populations represented in the district and the unique needs of these learners
  • Knowledge and skills in the use of technology as an instructional tool
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, leadership, communication, problem-solving, facilitation, collaboration, research and team building
  • Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with campus staff
  • Ability to effectively provide professional development, training, and differentiated supports to adult learners

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Professionalism:

Instructional Management:

  • CCMR Tracking & Monitoring: Collaborate closely with high school leadership, teaching and learning departments, and assessment and accountability staff to design, implement, and maintain robust data tracking systems for all CCMR indicators.
  • Cross-Departmental Data Alignment: Facilitate regular data-review meetings with accountability staff and high school counselors to monitor student progress toward CCMR outcomes, identifying gaps and coordinating timely interventions.
  • Tesla Partnership Leadership: Lead and assist in the design, coordination, fidelity of implementation, and evaluation of the district innovative instructional program and partnership with Tesla.
  • Pipeline Development: Design and implement 6-12th grade career pathways aligned with Tesla's Manufacturing Development Program (MDP), START, and other workforce initiatives.
  • Data & Retention Tracking: Track student recruitment, placement, and long-term retention metrics to provide Tesla and district leadership with actionable data on the DVISD talent pool.
  • Industry Integration: Coordinate all onsite engagement, parent outreach, and community activations to ensure high student participation in Tesla-specific initiatives.
  • Strategic Alignment: Facilitate the alignment of CTE curriculum with Tesla's evolving technical requirements to ensure "day-one" readiness for graduates.
  • Formative Data Analysis: Analyze formative and diagnostic data in order to provide targeted instruction and CCMR intervention pathways based on students' individual needs.
  • Instructional Achievement: Improve student achievement through the application of effective classroom practices and innovative instructional strategies.
  • Teacher Coaching & Support: Improve teaching through a variety of methods, such as coaching, model teaching, monitoring, and data-focused dialogue.
  • Business Partnerships: Assist in the review, revision, and implementation of the district innovative instructional program and partnerships with community businesses.
  • Support Optimization: Monitor and adjust teacher supports to attain student academic achievement, CCMR qualification, and successful job placement.
  • Diagnostic Adjustment: Diagnose student learning and readiness needs to initiate timely, strategic instructional adjustments.
  • Learning Experience Design: Help teachers design high-impact learning experiences and career-aligned projects for students.
  • Technology Integration: Facilitate the planning and application of emerging educational and industry-standard technologies in the classroom.
  • Enrichment Oversight: Ensure all field trips, site visits, and industry tours directly support academic and career enrichment.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by district administration.

  • Establish and maintain open communications with parents, students, principals, teachers, and support staff by conducting conferences.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
  • Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.

Professional Growth and Development:

  • Participate in national and state level organizations to stay abreast of latest research and best practices.
  • Attend professional development opportunities related to designated subject areas.
  • Read, synthesize, and disseminate research and information related to best practices from books, journals, listservs, websites, and other media formats.
  • Attend meetings and participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.

Qualities of an Effective Workforce and CCMR Coordinator:

  • Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.
  • Keep informed of and comply with state, District, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
  • Compile, maintain, and file reports, records, and other documents required.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
  • Correct unsafe conditions in the work area that could cause an accident and inform the supervisor of any conditions that are not correctable immediately.
  • Shall comply with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Shall comply with the standards of conduct set out in Board Policy DH (Legal) and (Local) and with any other policies, regulations, and guidelines that impose duties, requirements, and standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Equipment: Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, teacher resource materials and equipment, printer, scanner, copier, fax and other equipment applicable to the position.
