About

Revolutionizing a trillion dollar category Insurance wasn’t built for a tech‑driven world. It’s a 600‑year‑old reactive model that was originally designed to manage the risk of ships. This model can no longer keep pace with today’s risks which move at the speed of tech, like cyber attacks, system downtime and climate change.
1Fort is reinventing insurance by using AI to transition it from a reactive model to a proactive one. By integrating AI‑powered risk mitigation services with top‑tier insurance policies, we help companies never need to use their insurance and save money in the process.
There's no better time to join You’ll build 1Fort from the ground up, and we’re seeing exciting traction on product, growth and funding. We’re a venture‑backed startup having raised seed capital from investors like Village Global, On Deck, Operator Partners, Company Ventures, Character VC and 8-Bit Capital.
A bit about who we are We’re a lean team based in NYC with strong complementary skills and having worked in insurance, cybersecurity and B2B SaaS growth at places like Google, BCG and Coalition.
You’ll have outsized impact and ownership As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll take on many of the responsibilities expected in a founder. Main responsibilities include:
Own the end‑to‑end development of frontend features
Ensure the robustness and reliability of software

Contribute to UI / UX decisions
Beyond that, you’ll help us shape 1Fort’s culture and vision, hire new talent, grow our user base, and support customers. What’s important to us is someone who is comfortable in being cross‑functional, scrappy, entrepreneurial and working in a fast‑moving environment.
