Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Responsibilities:
Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and others to understand service needs. Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting equipment controls. Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques. Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, including the completion and verification of exams. Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories. Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock and anticipating needed supplies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by meeting regulatory CME requirements and participating in professional societies. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. Complete yearly Age Specific Competency. Perform other relevant duties as assigned. Requirements:
No experience required. N.Y. State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist. Graduate of a JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology. BLS - AHA Certification. New York State License (L.R.T). ARRT Certified. Preferred Skills:
Competency in performing diagnostic procedures. Excellent communication skills in a team environment. Quality focus, planning, and people skills. Dependability and ability to create a safe, effective environment.
