Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physicians' request under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.Assists pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services that are within the state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.

Assists the pharmacist with ensuring safe, appropriate,cost-effectivemedication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
