About
Assess and monitor all patients as assigned to their care in standard with Peoria area EMS protocols and/or written physician orders. Assure the accuracy and completeness of all company and patient contact paperwork. Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights, following all HIPAA guidelines. Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment in accordance with company vehicle check-off sheets and inventory requirements, including medication accountability each shift day. Operate and drive an ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and state laws. Assist paramedics in all advanced life support situations. Maintain current certification(s) according to provisions set forth by the governing licensure that include a valid driver's license, EMT IDPH license, and BLS/CPR. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Present and promote a positive company image. May be expected to attend public events on occasion.

Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Current EMT-Basic license in Illinois Current American Heart Association BLS CPR certification Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 100 pounds (subject to physical exam) Ability to follow oral and written instructions Demonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and procedures Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment
