Full-Time Medical Assistant The primary purpose of the Medical Assistant / MA is to help the providers with patient care and prepare exam rooms. This role will report to the Practice Administrator and be guided by the Office Nurse. This is a full-time role that will require travel between both offices- Lutherville and Johnston Professional Building. 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience required. WAGE $20.00+ per hour PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of the Medical Assistant / MA
The Medical Assistant / MA is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant / MA assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as review of systems and vital signs. The Medical Assistant / MA will prepare intramuscular injections, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician or Nurse. The Medical Assistant / MA must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS of the Medical Assistant / MA
High School diploma or GED equivalent 1-3 years MA experience required Current CPR Certification required Medical Assistant Certificate preferred Surgical Coordinator experience preferred ENT experience preferred Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no supervisory responsibility. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT perferred. All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption. WAGE $20.00-$22.00 per hour ENT is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
