Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy in an acute care setting. Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard techniques. Educate and counsel patient/family on treatment and discharge plans. Maintain clinical records and participate in performance improvement activities. Minimum weekend and holiday requirements.
What Minimum Requirements You'll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required. Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
