Veterinary Technician Supervisor Great Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to support our medical team, elevate patient care, and help shape a positive, accountable, and growth-driven culture. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends clinical excellence with team development. As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will:
Lead by example on the floor, supporting patient care and workflow Mentor and develop technicians and assistants Partner closely with DVMs and hospital leadership Help drive consistency in medical standards, protocols, and communication Ensure a high level of efficiency, accountability, and team engagement
You will play a key role in bridging medicine, operations, and team culture. At Great Road, our technicians are highly utilized, highly respected, and essential to how we deliver care. As a supervisor, you will:
Support anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and advanced diagnostics Coach team members in technical skills and client communication Help manage daily workflow and technician scheduling needs Reinforce medical protocols and best practices Address challenges in real-time with professionalism and clarity Contribute to hiring, training, and performance development

What You Bring:
5 years or more of veterinary technician experience Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required Strong technical skills across anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics Confidence in coaching, feedback, and team development Excellent communication and client education skills Ability to stay organized and lead in a fast-paced environment High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and accountability
Preferred:
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT) Degree in veterinary technology or related field
Key Responsibilities:
Patient restraint and handling Anesthesia administration and monitoring Surgical and dental assistance Laboratory and radiology procedures Pharmacy and medication management Medical record accuracy and compliance Client education and communication Team leadership, mentorship, and performance support Workflow coordination and daily floor management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong focus on client service and patient care Knowledge of animal handling, common veterinary drugs, and clinical procedures Demonstrated patience, empathy, and professionalism High school diploma (required) 5 years of veterinary technician experience (required) Degree in veterinary or related field (preferred) Veterinary Technician Certification (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: up to $29.00 per hour (based on experience) Sign on Bonus: $3,000 with half paid at 60 days and the remaining at 6 months Benefits include:
