About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Manager to oversee and support the organization's technology infrastructure, end-user support services, systems administration, and IT operations. This individual will be responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions while leading technology initiatives that improve business processes and user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background across Windows and Linux environments, networking, security, cloud technologies, and end-user support, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
User Support & IT Operations
Provide advanced workstation, hardware, software, and application support for internal users.
Manage the procurement, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of user workstations and technology assets.
Oversee workstation imaging, software deployment, and endpoint management processes.
Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and SharePoint.
Manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
Support and administer VoIP and call center platforms, such as Vonage or similar systems.
Systems Administration & Infrastructure Management
Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
Manage virtualization platforms, VPN connectivity, and enterprise networking infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable operations.
Administer core networking services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.
Ensure proper backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and endpoints.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience.
Lead and participate in technology projects, including system migrations, upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
Utilize project management methodologies and tools to plan, execute, and monitor project progress.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend technology solutions.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
System Design & Implementation
Design and implement technology solutions that streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
Assist with system documentation, user onboarding, and training efforts.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure and workflows.
Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain security best practices across on-premises and cloud environments.
Harden systems and infrastructure in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, and ISO frameworks.
Monitor and protect organizational data and systems from security threats and vulnerabilities.
Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior IT staff and team members.
Foster a collaborative environment focused on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and end users.
Assist in developing and maintaining IT policies, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Administration, or IT Operations.
Strong experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
Proficiency with networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
Experience with virtualization technologies and enterprise infrastructure management.
Experience with workstation imaging, software deployment, and endpoint management.
Experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including Outlook and SharePoint.
Experience managing hardware and software procurement processes.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, Security+, Network+, or A+.
Experience supporting macOS environments.
Experience with Microsoft Intune or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
Experience with Apple Business Manager.
Experience with Windows AutoPilot, SCCM, or similar endpoint deployment solutions.
Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
Experience with Microsoft Company Portal.
