North Texas Territory | Blair Electra Southwest Overview Blair Electra Southwest is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Field Sales Engineer to manage and expand a well-established North Texas territory. This role offers the unique opportunity to step into an existing customer base with active business, while also leading efforts to identify and develop new opportunities across key markets.
You’ll play a central role in growing relationships with OEM customers, uncovering design opportunities, and driving long‑term revenue through technical selling.
About the Company Blair Electra is a manufacturers’ representative firm specializing in electro‑mechanical and electronic component solutions. We partner with leading manufacturers to support OEM customers across industries including Industrial, Electronics, Medical, HVAC, and Military/Aerospace.
Position Summary This is a field-based role responsible for managing existing accounts while actively developing new business within the territory. You will collaborate with engineers, purchasing teams, and internal partners to identify opportunities, support design activity, and bring solutions to market.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a self‑directed environment, enjoys technical sales, and values building long‑term partnerships. Success in this role is directly related to effort and time spent developing relationships with customers and constant education of the markets we support.
Key Responsibilities Territory Growth & Account Management
Manage a defined territory with an established customer base
Strengthen relationships with engineers, buyers, and operational teams
Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and increase market penetration
Business Development & Technical Selling
Proactively pursue new customers, programs, and applications
Drive design‑in opportunities from early engagement through production
Present products and solutions aligned with customer needs
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and distributors
Collaborate with manufacturer partners on strategy, product support, and opportunity development
Coordinate samples, pricing, and technical resources
Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts
Manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
Work closely with inside sales and operations to ensure strong customer support
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in field sales, technical sales, or account management
Background in electronic components, electro‑mechanical products, or related technical industries preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision
Organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities
Must be based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and able to travel within the territory
Base salary plus uncapped commission structure
Earnings tied directly to territory performance

Hybrid Corporate office / Home office based in the DFW area
Regular in‑person customer visits throughout the territory including overnight travel
Supported by experienced inside sales, operations, and manufacturer partners
