About

Allied Health Specialty PRIMARY PURPOSE/FUNCTION: The Allied Health Specialty practiced under the direction and supervision of a Medical Director involving the attended monitoring and testing of individuals suffering from any sleep disorders classified in the international classification of sleep disorders. Educational and/or Professional Qualifications 1. Bachelors or Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy Previous Experience:
Minimum of six (6) months clinical experience in polysomnography. High degree of communication skills.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.: 1. Current license as a Respiratory Therapist by the State of Louisiana required. 2. Current registry by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is strongly encouraged. 3. Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers by American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire. 4. ACLS and/or PALS are preferred.
