Conduct thorough evaluations of individuals from different age groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft tailored treatment strategies addressing both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language fluency, voice quality, and swallowing skills. Engage in teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to develop integrated care plans. Provide education and resources to patients and their families to support progress outside the clinic. Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure consistent care throughout the patient's journey. Keep detailed and timely records in accordance with regulatory standards. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a required Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within the first month of employment. Skills
