Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses independently or in collaboration with physicians as credentialing allows Providing education to patients and their families on prevention, wellness strategies, and effective disease management Prescribing medications and treatments per your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licenses and Certifications Required
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure for the state of Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve these within 90 days) Traits That Will Make You Shine
