About
Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures. Prepare patients for scheduled procedures. Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary imaging equipment. Calibrate, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceutical materials. Calculate patient study data and radioactive decay. Follow radiation safety procedures for handling and disposal. Document patient history, symptoms, and procedure details. Monitor and care for patients during nuclear medicine procedures. Start IV lines and follow proper injection procedures. Maintain inventory and records for radiopharmaceuticals and supplies. Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology required. ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP certification required. Active California State License required. American Heart Association BLS required. New graduates accepted. 1-3 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred. Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and radiation safety. Ability to work Monday through Friday day shifts.
