About
Assess patients of all ages, employing standardized tests and observational strategies. Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate goals and long-term needs surrounding communication, cognition, or swallowing. Conduct individualized speech therapy with a focus on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Work in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to craft comprehensive care strategies. Provide education to patients and their families to encourage continued progress beyond clinical sessions. Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment journey. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuing education opportunities and peer engagement. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained. Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. A preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment. Skills
