Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic medical conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, as permitted by your credentials Guiding patients and their families on health promotion, preventive care, and effective disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within the allowable practice scope Engaging in follow-up care for chronic illness management Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive care Maintaining precise and thorough documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Background
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Certifications Required
Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Dakota National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or the equivalent in your specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire these within 90 days) Distinctive Skills
