Craft tailored treatment strategies that correspond to both immediate needs and long-range communication or swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on various aspects of speech, language, fluency, and swallowing. Work closely with a dedicated team of occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to implement integrated care plans. Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to extend progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatments applicable to all ages, with sound knowledge of both developmental and acquired communication disorders. Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team. Adept at customizing therapeutic interventions to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong analytical thinking and clinical decision-making capabilities. Familiarity with electronic medical records and compliant documentation practices. Benefits
Attractive salary commensurate with experience. Flexibility in scheduling to promote work-life harmony and varied patient caseloads. Opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy. Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages. Support for continuing education and professional growth. Team-centered environment focused on quality care and lifelong learning.
A Career Journey That Empowers You In this rewarding role, you will become more than just a practitioner of speech therapy; you will be an integral part of a heartfelt mission to uplift voices, foster communication, and celebrate the beauty found within every exchange. You can expect to collaborate closely with fellow clinicians who support each other like a family, all while working in an environment where collaboration is celebrated over competition. With every patient you encounter, you'll help them share their unique stories. This city, with its waterfront parks, thriving arts scene, and inviting neighborhoods, provides a backdrop of both natural beauty and cultural stimulation.
Families enjoy weekends in lush parks, soaking up music and laughter, while adventure-seekers explore pristine beaches or sail through tranquil waters. Food lovers can indulge in everything from fresh seafood at high-end restaurants to local favorites tucked away in cozy cafes along the waterfront.
The creative pulse of the city is felt in every art gallery, live performance, and community festival that gathers people from diverse backgrounds. Moreover, professionals enjoy robust employment opportunities in a lively healthcare sector, as well as a reasonable cost of living complemented by an absence of state income tax. Who We Are Seeking We are searching for a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist motivated by the true essence of communication. Someone who notices an overlooked child and imagines a future rich with expression, who recognizes the struggles of a stroke survivor and sees determination shining through the difficulty. You could be specializing in pediatric therapy but keen to broaden your experience in adult rehabilitation, or perhaps as a clinician with a neuro focus who desires to incorporate childhood interventions into your work. If you are ready to embody empathy and lead with expertise, we are excited to welcome you to our team. Let Us Explore Communication Together If you see speech as more than just sound and therapy as more than just tasks - embracing the importance of trust, connection, and even laughter in communication - this could be your next fulfilling chapter. Become part of a community that treasures every voice and the strength found in connection. Apply today to lend your talents to our team and support others in finding the courage to express themselves.
