About

Ambulatory OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Location: Not specified Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 hours per week, from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Scheduled day off at the needs of the department, but special requests considered if possible. Scheduled late a few times per month. On-call is not required. Job Description: The Ambulatory OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will be responsible for assisting in various surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment. The candidate will ensure efficient surgical workflow, working in close collaboration with surgical teams, and providing excellent patient care throughout the surgical process. Specialties include Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, and Plastics among others. Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures. Assist in preparing and positioning patients for surgery. Manage surgical instruments and supplies effectively. Adhere to safety protocols, including handling of specimens and equipment. Collaborate with OR nurses and anesthesia teams to ensure quality patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical setting. Certification: NBSTSA required. BLS certification required. Experience in a variety of surgical specialties is essential. Radiation badge needs to be provided by parent company.
