OPEN TO LOCAL/NON-LOCAL CANDIDATES The role is remote as long as they can work the standard PST hours of 8AM - 5PM. There will be opportunities to come to San Ramon from time to time, but very infrequently. In person meetings in San Ramon few times per year. Client laptop will be provided if they live within the client's service territory. Non-local candidates must have their own device & other equipment ready to start the assignment.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field 2+ years of experience in a business analytics or data-focused role Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, etc.) Proven experience analyzing and visualizing complex datasets Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the Palantir Foundry platform or similar enterprise analytics tools Familiarity with the utility industry or infrastructure-related projects Exposure to SQL, Python, or other data querying languages (a plus, not required) Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Business Analyst to join the Asset Failure Analysis team at client. The ideal candidate will support data-informed decision-making by reviewing asset failure and historical performance data into actionable forward-looking insights. This role plays a key part in driving process improvements, forecasting, and strategic initiatives across the organization that directly impact reduction of wildfire risk and improvement of system reliability. Key Responsibilities
Analyze business data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational efficiency Develop dashboards, reports, and models to support departments such as compliance, operations, strategy, and wildfire risk Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and measure performance against business goals Prepare and present findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format Support ongoing improvement of data integrity and analytics capabilities Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and transformation for reporting and ad hoc analysis
