About

Thoracic Surgery Physician Support staff: PAs, a nurse navigator, clinic RNs, and a provider coordinator Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients, including those with lung, chest wall, mediastinal, and pleural diseases Perform a broad range of thoracic procedures including minimally invasive thoracic surgery, robotic surgery, VATS, advanced bronchoscopy, and endoscopic procedures for lungs and esophagus Schedule: Mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week + overnight and weekend call Work Days: 2 days in clinic, 2 in surgery/procedures, and 1 flexible day for administrative or surgical overflow Patient population/age: Adult Department: Allina Health Cancer Institute at Abbott Northwestern Minneapolis Work setting: Hospital Qualifications:
Board Certification: Yes, Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, or Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery by the AOA Board of Surgery required upon hire License: MN license or IMLC required DEA: Yes Preferred: Completion of Thoracic Oncology Fellowship, 2+ years of trained thoracic or cardiothoracic surgeon with emphasis in thoracic malignancy, 2+ years of robotic surgical skills Certifications: ACLS, BLS Tier 2 Experience: Minimum of 2 years
Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days Shift Information: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00) Hourly Pay Rate: $303.81 Start Date: 08/03/2026 Job Order Benefits:
