We are currently seeking an experienced IT Security Architect to join a key client engagement on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional to play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing enterprise security architecture within a complex technology environment. The Role As an IT Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and governing security architecture across a range of business and technology initiatives. You will work closely with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure security is embedded throughout the solution lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain security architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps. Provide security architecture guidance for infrastructure, cloud, applications, and network initiatives. Conduct security design reviews and risk assessments. Ensure solutions align with regulatory, compliance, and industry best practices. Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate security risks early in the delivery lifecycle. Support security governance and architecture review boards. Contribute to security policies, frameworks, and technical standards. Provide expert advice on emerging threats and security technologies. Required Experience Proven experience working as a Security Architect, IT Security Architect, or Cyber Security Architect within large enterprise environments. CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent certifications. Experience within regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, government, or critical infrastructure. Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and modern cloud security practices. Experience supporting digital transformation or cloud migration programmes. Strong understanding of security architecture frameworks and methodologies. Knowledge of network security, identity and access management, endpoint security, and application security. Experience performing threat modelling, security assessments, and risk management activities. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
