Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing standardized assessments alongside observative techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate targets and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that concentrate on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to form an integrated approach to patient care. Supply education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond clinical interactions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the therapy process. Document and maintain accurate records that align with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting the position. Skills
